On Thanksgiving morning the directors, agents and staff of Medicare Pathways participated in the Second Annual Drumstick Dash to help support the Union Mission Ministries’ drive to feed the hungry. Medicare Pathways is thankful for its success in the insurance industry and, in turn, are committed to helping local food pantries feed the hungry. It was a cold morning in Charleston, West Virginia, but that did not stop the staff of Medicare Pathways and their families (and pets), as well as 200 other walkers and runners from the community who also “moved their feet so others can eat.” In addition to donating nonperishable food to the Union Mission the registration fees paid to participate in the event will be used to purchase items for food baskets that will be given to hungry families in West Virginia for the upcoming holidays.

The Union Mission feeds over 20,000 hungry families each year during the holiday season in West Virginia alone. While there is an increased demand to feed families during the holiday season, Union Mission is available to assist families all year long. Medicare Pathways is proud of its employees for donating their time and money to assist the Union Mission in its drive to feed hungry families.
